Isipathana College is one of the most popular state school in Sri Lanka. It is situated in the heart of Colombo, the capital of the country. the school was started in 1952 by the name of "Greenlands" College and subsequently the name was changed to "Isipathana College".

Isipathana College is one of the very few schools which both sinhala & tamil mediums of education. today it has a student population of 3800 with 170 teachers assisting them in their educational activities carried out in the school in keeping schools curriculum in the country, the school also provide facilities for students to do various types of sports, vocational training etc.
