Mr. B.A. Kuruppu laid the foundation for the present achievement in the field of education. During his term of office the school progressed by leaps and bounds Mr. H.R. Perera who was principal for two years devoted much time and energy to the improvement of the academic standard of the school.

Mr. W.T.P.T. Tilakaratne recognized the teaching of science in Isipathana and is responsible for equipping the science laboratories.

During Mr. T.E. Leelananda's period a steady improvement in the examination results both the G.C.E. (O/L) and (A/L) bears ample testimony to the effect of measures taken to improve the tone of the college. Isipathana is what it is today, due to the untiring efforts of all its past principals and teachers who gave their best in guiding the destines of the college over the past years.

May Isipathana be a becan light to the Children of Sri Lanka. Isipathana was a three media school with children of various races and religious. The cordial relations that prevail in this School helps to foster peaceful co-existence, an example to the other schools. English is much more than just a subject. It is also a link between races. Isipathana will continue to take an active interest in the learning of English. Every opportunity is provided for students to reach the summit of their success in their studies and develop much needed sense of discipline. Another noteworthy feature of Isipathana is the fact that those who have gone through this college have secured employment at all levels.
